Johnny Clegg has been in two bands, Juluka and Savuka and he has also done some solo work. I have been an avid fan since my brother gave me a tape of their work in the early eighties and I have tried to get my hands on any of his work. This has not been easy due to the fact that there is not a wide selection of import shops in Calgary. I had always wanted to see Juluka/Savuka live and after numerous failed attempts, I finally got to see a Juluka live in 1997 in Vancouver Canada.

Just about any African music is appealing to me, especially music from South Africa. Having been born in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa,. I have always been drawn to African music. I find that for the most part, African music, as well as having an awsome beat, always seems to have a good feel to it. some of my favorites include Black Umfolozi, Noise Khanyile, Amaduduzo and numerous compelation CD's.
